Directions and Parking Tips
Woodruff Health Sciences Center Administration Building (WHSCAB)The Reception and the Panel Discussion are being held in a building commonly referred to as "WHSCAB" (WISHcab) located across the street from Egleston Children's Hospital at the corner of Clifton Road and Asbury Circle. Clifton Road is the main thoroughfare through the Emory campus. Asbury Circle is the first road south of the railroad tracks that bisect campus. (The tracks cross under Clifton Road and may not be immediately obvious.) On the other side of Clifton Road, Asbury Circle is called Haygood Drive.ParkingParking is available in a covered deck behind the Rollins School of Public Health and the Rollins Research Building, one block north of WHSCAB. Access the deck by turning downhill at the light from Clifton Road onto Houston Mill Road and then taking the first left onto an access road between the parking deck and the campus buildings fronting Clifton Rd. If you arrive for the meeting after 4:30pm, use the first entrance to the deck (faculty/staff/student). If you arrive before 4:30pm the gate arm to the faculty/staff/student entrance may still be closed. In that case use the (paid) visitors' parking entrance at the far end of the parking deck.Getting to WHSCAB on foot from the parking deckAfter leaving the parking deck, cross the access road and head toward the Rollins School of Public Health (the eight story building that has twisted cementlicorice sticksholding up each floor) then turn right at a circular flower bed onto a sidewalk that runs in front of the Rollins Research Building. Follow that sidewalk for a block -- you'll eventually go down a flight of stairs and across a pedestrian bridge spanning the CSX rail road tracks. At this point the sidewalk decants you gently into a small parking lot. From here, look left. WHSCAB is the large white building with exterior stair case (currently on the edge of a construction site). Climb the outside stairs to get to the plaza level. |
