The first article contains basic background information on Dr. Lilienfeld, including information on his research interests and his involvement with the Georgia Skeptics Society. The second article contains information on pseudoscience in fields of psychotherapy.

An association seeking truthful answers to questions including "Does astrology work?ƒ What is therapeutic touch?ƒ Are UFOs alien spacecraft?ƒ Can we remember past lives?ƒ Can psychics foretell the future?ƒ What do near death experiences mean?ƒ Can hypnotism recover lost memories? What frequency are psychic vibrations?" The site contains a plethora of links, a newsletter, and a "PhACT board."

Basic Knowledge: Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal
CSICOP encourages the critical investigation of paranormal and fringe-science claims from a responsible, scientific point of view and disseminates factual information about the results of such inquiries to the scientific community and the public.

Basic Knowledge: The Skeptics Society
The Skeptics Society and Skeptic magazine investigate claims by scientists, historians, and controversial figures on a wide variety of theories and conjectures including but not limited to: evolution, creationism, cults, religion, Holocaust revisionism, conspiracy theories, near-death and out-of-body experiences.

Basic Knowledge: The James Randi Educational Foundation
The James Randi Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1996. Its aim is to promote critical thinking by reaching out to the public and media with reliable information about paranormal and supernatural ideas so widespread in our society today.

Popular Press: Skeptical Inquirer
CSICOP's magazine that claims to "tell you what the scientific community knows about claims of the paranormal, as opposed to the sensationalism often presented by the press, television, and movies." The site contains information about the current issue as well as links to many of the articles from past issues.

Popular Press: Society for Scientific Exploration
The Society for Scientific Exploration "was founded in 1982 by a committee of fourteen scientists and scholars who had identified the need for a new type of scientific organization, one that would foster the study of all questions that are amenable to scientific investigation without restriction. Despite the enormous advances in science in the last century, there are important areas that remain almost unexplored. Some are of great public interest and touch deep philosophical questions."
